The Times follows Matt Green, the man who walked from Rockaway Beach, N.Y. to Rockaway Beach, Ore., as he strolls through the East Village during his epic quest to walk every single street in New York City.

NY1 is patting itself on the back after Con Ed repaired the sinkhole on Avenue C that it reported on earlier.

NoHo News reports that the Elisa Monte Dance group will launch its 2012 season on April 12.

EV Grieve notes that a garbage truck trashed some of Emmanuel “Manny the Peddler” Howard’s goods on Avenue A.

East Village Eats points out that Back Forty is adding a two-course chicken dinner to its menu.

Sidewalk Cafe writes in to say that it’s now hosting guest bartenders from such venerable establishments as PDT, Drom, and Cienfuegos. They’ll be there the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 8 p.m. to midnight, but don’t ask for anything fancy: a press release says they’re taking a break from their precious concoctions to pour beer, shots, simple mixed drinks.

And a representative for Takamichi Hair announces that the upscale salon, which recently relocated to the Bowery, is now offering half-price haircuts by junior stylists every Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
