A tiny crowd of photographers and birdwatchers has gathered outside NYU’s Bobst Library trying to spot Pip, the red-tailed hawk who flew for the first time earlier today. Many in the the crowd of onlookers were excited that the 49-day-old hawk made a successful take off, but were bewildered about where she went during the flight.
