In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, The King Center has made available online for the first time 200,000 documents, including a handwritten draft of the civil rights activist’s acceptance speech for the 1964 Nobel Peace Prize, and notes on the ending of his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.

And if you want to toast Dr. King over brunch, 7A Cafe and Yuca Bar are among the local spots offering special M.L.K. Day menus.

Our neighborhood certainly loves its restaurant deliveries. The New York Post reports that S’MAC, the popular mac ‘n cheese place, is the city’s busiest delivery service according to stats compiled by Delivery.com. The restaurant’s co-owner Sarita Ekya told the Post they make 50 or more deliveries an hour on Saturdays.

Meanwhile, Grub Street got the scoop that a new sandwich shop is coming to Saint Marks Place. San Matteo Pizza and Espresso Bar is opening an outpost where “supersize panin[i] of sorts” will be sold at the counter-seat shop that should open sometime next month.

EV Grieve hears that Five Tacos on Saint Marks had a grand opening on Friday night.
